The Laradon Art Show
The Laradon Art Show this Spring is on Thursday, April 17th from 10am-1pm will showcase artwork by adults with developmental and physical disabilities from the Laradon Adult Center.
The Art Garage and Laradon have been working together for a few years now creating amazing artwork and developing wonderful relationships.
Each student chose the pieces they wanted to exhibit from the work they did throughout the year. They painted, collaged, drew, sewed and built with clay, always giving their best effort to their work, really exploring their creativity. I hope you come and enjoy our fantastic art exhibit and meeting our wonderful artists.
The Art Garage
is a local non-profit art center that has been a staple in the Park Hill neighborhood in Denver for about 12 years now. We offer art instruction and support for all ages, toddlers to adults. We reach out to other schools and organizations throughout the Denver Metro Area providing art experiences outside of our brick and mortar location. We believe that all people need support and encouragement in their creative endeavors and that everybody has some kind of creative spark. We are very happy to help anyone find theirs!
Laradon
established in 1948, has spent the past 77 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over time, it has expanded its services to empower both adults and children through programs that promote independence and community inclusion. The Adult Day Program offers engaging opportunities for individuals aged 21 and over, focusing on skill-building, social interaction, and personal development. Participants take part in activities such as art, music, exercise, games, current events discussions, and community outings.
Laradon remains committed to creating opportunities for adults and children with disabilities, helping them build meaningful relationships and lead fulfilling lives.
